“A primrose by a river’s brim
A yellow primrose was to him,
And it was nothing more,”
He sees rather with Tennyson that every fact and phenomenon of any one existence is linked with that of every other existence, and that to solve in fullness the mystery of a little flower is to fathom the problem of the universe and know what “God and man is.”’
