6. Charles Stansfield read us one or two extracts from Halliday Sutherland’s “Arches of the 
Years”. [...]&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;
7. Rosamund Wallis followed with Norah Warne’s [i.e Nora Waln’s] “House of Exile”, giving us 
a telling description of an aristocratic Chinese household[...].&lt;br/&gt;

8. F. E. Pollard then gave us a picture of the personality and work of Russell Pasha from “The 
last plague of Egypt” &amp;mdash; the drug traffic.&lt;br/&gt;

9. R. H. Robson gave us a reading from “The Anglo Saxons”, the very recent work of R. H. 
Hodgkin of Queen’s College, Oxford, a Leightonian of the first generation. [Many of the XII 
Book Club members were associated with Leighton Park School.]&lt;br/&gt;

10. Finally Ethel Stevens read two or three picturesque passages from Duveen’s Collections
