Evidence

"I am delighted and honoured by your gift of an inscribed copy [presumably of ""Voices of Tomorrow"" but see additional comment]. It is with great pleasure that I discover in myself an intellectual (or perhaps instinctive) sympathy for what you say in your book with such force, clearness and conviction. In the article on myself what I see first is the generosity of your appreciation."

Notes
See fns 1-3 p.65 of source text. There is here some inconsistency/uncertainty about whether Conrad received and was reading the May 1912 issue of 'American Review of Reviews' in which Bjorkman's essay on him 'Joseph Conrad: A Master of Literary Color' first appeared, or whether it was the book 'Voices of Tomorrow' which seems to have only been first published in 1913. The context suggests the published book, even though inconsistent with the footnote information. This entry is included as example of Conrad's reactions after reading essays about himself. There are many such episodes referred to in his letters, which have not been submitted for recording in the database.
